How to Use Milk Of Magnesia for Psoriasis
Milk of Magnesia is known as a product for upset stomach, but it is also the cheapest over the counter acne treatment available. It is white in color and comes in liquid or tablet form. It can help soothe and clear up seborrhoea dermatitis, in which yeast causes skin to get red, crack, ooze, and flake. Milk of magnesia helps heal psoriasis because it dries excess oil. Also, the alkalinity of magnesium helps keep down natural acids that lead to psoriasis. It also cleanses dirt and absorbs oil from your skin.
Treatment:
- Purchase a bottle of liquid milk of magnesia that is labeled magnesium hydroxide.
- Gently wash your skin and gently pat dry with a clean soft towel.
- Apply a generous amount of milk of magnesia to your skin with a cotton ball or pad. Allow it to dry completely on your skin, or leave on overnight
- If you are using it on your face, apply milk of magnesia with a cotton ball or pad and leave on for about 10 minutes. Wash face with warm water, and pat dry. Do this twice a week and gradually increase to suit your skins needs.
There are no side effects from using milk of magnesia on your skin. However, If your skin is allergic to magnesium or zinc or you have sensitive skin, then you should not use milk of magnesia. It is recommended to do a patch test on your elbows before using it on your skin.
